Job Description

Morgan Hunter is working with a valued client to help them find a SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR to join their team. This role is based in St. Louis and once established will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule. This is a direct-hire opportunity and offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Requirements and Competencies:
  • S. Degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or like field).
  • Minimum 5 years of working with virtualized enterprise class environments (VMWare).
  • Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, O365
  • 2-4-year experience with PowerShell.
  • Minimum 3 years of working with Cisco equipment (switches, routers, firewalls).
  • Experience with WIFI access points, management, and deployment.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills (written & verbal).
  • Windows Server OS
  • Self-motivated/directed to handle multiple tasks and projects with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrates excellent problem-solving skills as well as displays intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and work demands.
  • Take leadership responsibility and solve problems that impact our business needs.
  • Preferred experience with deployment and management of SCCM, SCOM, and SCO.
  • Demonstrated ability to timeline projects based on scope and consistently deliver based on the timeline.
  • Enriches organization reputation by taking ownership/pride in accomplishing projects and exploring opportunities to add value to job successes.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Manage network servers and technology tools.
  • Set up accounts and workstations.
  • Image workstations using imaging software.
  • Meet with new hires on their first day to ensure that all equipment and systems are working properly.
  • Monitor network performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshooting issues and outages.
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests.
  • Safeguard data and systems from potential threats and malicious intent.
  • Support internal and external users.
  • Responsible for evaluating systems configurations and ensuring currency of all patch levels, drivers, and hardware to meet business and security needs.
  • Responsible to research and evaluate new tools and solutions as requested by management.
  • Responsible to maintain the WAN/LAN links between all sites.
  • Monitor Windows servers for performance issues and stability concerns.
