Key responsibilities
- Ensure client compliance with federal, state and local tax regulations
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy
- Create tax solutions to incorrect tax fillings or complicated tax issues
- Advise management on new tax laws or the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies
- Stay informed on tax changes and industry trends by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications
- Maintain the company's tax database and prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, and reports
- Organize any outsourced tax preparation work
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits
Qualifications:
- Must have strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking
- 2+ years of public or corporate tax
- CPA highly preferred
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Skilled at time management
- Great attention to detail
- Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required
- Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
