Join this well-balanced Human Resources team located in Johnson County, KS. Seeking an experienced Benefits and Compensation Specialist to focus primarily in benefits administration, with added compensation administration duties and projects. This position is open due to an internal promotion within the team. This is a hybrid work environment, 3 days in the office, 2 days remote.

Some of the key responsibilities include:
  • Administer the company's benefits programs, including health and wellness, leaves of absence and supplemental benefits offerings
  • Ensure plans are administered in compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Employee benefits plan includes medical, dental, vision, STD & LTD, Group Term Life, Voluntary Life, AD&D and 401k
  • Work with insurance broker to monitor and analyze recommended solutions for benefits programs
  • Track trends and legislation changes in employee benefits
  • Assist employees with any benefits inquiries or concerns
  • Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, STD & LTD, ADA and worker's compensation
  • Manage open enrollment process each year
  • Partner with the HR Director to administer compensation programs, including compensation surveys and merit increases
  • Manager 401k and HSA/FSA plans

Requirements for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years previous benefits administration experience
  • Knowledge and experience in leave administration
  • Compensation administration experience
  • HRIS experience
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Have a client focused approach in working with employees
