Morgan Hunter is partnering with a growing Kansas City-area organization to add a Service Dispatcher to their team. This role will coordinate service requests and technician schedules while serving as a key point of contact for customers and field employees.
The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm when priorities shift quickly.
Responsibilities
- Receive, prioritize, and schedule incoming customer service requests
- Gather service details, create work orders, and assign technicians based on availability and urgency
- Manage daily, weekly, and recurring technician schedules, adjusting quickly as emergency requests arise
- Monitor active work orders and follow up with technicians to ensure assignments and documentation are completed
- Review technician service reports and assist with service-related paperwork and reporting
- Communicate with customers regarding service needs and route concerns to the appropriate team members
- Assist with additional administrative responsibilities and cross-train to provide coverage across the office team
- Previous dispatch, scheduling, logistics, customer service, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional communication style
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving priorities
- Calm and even-keeled when handling urgent requests or challenging situations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, or Sage is a plus
