Position Overview
This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and compliance of tax filings. Our client is looking to hire a highly skilled motivated individual to prepare and review various types of tax returns, as well as nurture client relationships. This position is meant to build confidence and prepare for future professional growth.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review complex business tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes.
- Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring all tax filings are completed accurately and timely.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, address concerns, and provide expert tax advice.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and recommend strategies to clients to minimize tax liabilities.
- Perform thorough tax research and analysis on various tax issues.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and to optimize tax strategies.
- Cooperate and collaborate with other team members to provide superior and comprehensive client service.
Successful candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA license or Enrolled Agent designation preferred
- Relevant work experience including at least 2 tax seasons
- Experience working with publicly traded companies is preferred
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent cultural fit
- Highly ethical with the ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment with all levels of staff personnel
- Prologue Software knowledge is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong understanding of tax codes and regulations
