Job Description


Morgan Hunter is working with a valued client to help identify candidates for a critical role in their organization. The Senior Director of Information Technology will lead the development and implementation of IT strategies across their company and its subsidiaries. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient, and secure operation of all technological systems. This position is direct-hire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Mentor and develop the IT team, fostering a culture of growth and innovation.
    • Partner with the business to develop IT strategies and effectively communicate progress to executive management and all employees.
    • Lead the IT department, including cybersecurity, disaster recovery, budget management, and vendor relations.
    • Drive IT direction and planning across the organization, identifying technological opportunities, and ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Operational Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance of IT systems, including server and network administration.
    • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures and manage company-wide connectivity and access controls.
    • Willingness to engage in on-site operations when necessary, understanding the intricacies of plant systems, and ensuring redundancy across all areas of IT infrastructure.
  • Support and Service:
    • Provide ongoing support for IT systems, handling everything from service desk operations to specialized support for satellite locations.
    • Manage after-hours on-call support for critical business needs.
    • Develop and maintain IT documentation and training programs.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions:
    • Develop strategies for IT integration during mergers and acquisitions and manage implementation to ensure smooth onboarding of new businesses.



Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 10 years of experience in IT, with 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time.



Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.
  • Experience with technology in the construction industry, such as Vista Construction Software, HCSS, and Apex.
  • Proven track record of leading IT teams through acquisitions and system integrations.
