SENIOR ACCOUNTANTABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading manufacturing organization in the Kansas City Metro Area;they are looking to hire a Senior Accountant. With a large and growing accounting and finance team, there is significant opportunity for growth and advancement within the department. The company boasts a team-oriented culture and provides its employees with the tools and training necessary to perform.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

  • Analyzing and preparing financial reports and records
  • Making recommendations based on analysis of assets and expenditures
  • Maintain schedules, prepare and record journal entries to ensure accuracy
  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
  • Perform variance analyses and prepare account reconciliations
  • Assist with financial and tax audits
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
  • Coordinate accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and familiarity with GAAP
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
    EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR THE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

    • Highly detail-oriented and organized
    • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
    • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Familiarity with accounting software and programs
    • BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant work experience
    • Pay up to $98K plus AGGRESSIVE bonus
