Sales Specialist –Pittsburgh, PA
We’re looking for an energetic, results-driven Sales Specialist to lead business growth across the Pittsburgh market. This role focuses on developing new client relationships, expanding regional market share, and delivering innovative trailer and storage solutions that meet customer needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and Execute a Prospecting Strategy
Collaborate with company leadership to create and implement a plan targeting new business opportunities within the assigned region.
Lead Generation & New Customer Acquisition
Identify potential customers through cold calling, emailing, in-person visits, and networking events to drive new business.
Market Outreach and Engagement
Spend approximately 75% of time in the field, visiting potential clients to assess their needs and present tailored storage and cartage solutions.
Collaborate with Local Leadership
Partner with regional managers to align on strategies for market penetration, customer engagement, and seamless onboarding of new clients.
Upselling and Cross-Selling Opportunities
Identify opportunities to offer additional products and services to new customers, ensuring all client needs are met.
Pipeline and CRM Management
Maintain accurate records of leads, activities, and opportunities within CRM systems (such as Dynamics), ensuring timely follow-up and conversion to long-term accounts.
Industry Networking & Events
Participate in trade shows, industry events, and professional networking opportunities to build connections and gain market intelligence.
Monitor Market Trends and Competitor Activity
Stay informed about regional trends and competitor movements to adjust sales strategies and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
Sales Reporting and Performance Tracking
Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and performance updates to management.
Additional Duties
Perform other responsibilities as assigned to support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills

Strong understanding of the transportation, logistics or equipment rental space

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport

Highly motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently

Proven ability to generate leads through cold calling, email outreach, and face-to-face engagement

Strong business acumen and analytical mindset for identifying and evaluating opportunities

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Proven track record of success in sales, business development, or new account acquisition—preferably within the equipment rental, logistics, or transportation industries

Willingness to travel within the assigned region (up to 50%)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
