Morgan Hunter is partnering with a growing organization to add a Purchasing Coordinator to its team. This newly created role will support purchasing and procurement activities, manage purchase orders, and build strong relationships with vendors to help keep daily operations running smoothly.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase order process, including entry, proofing, and tracking
- Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, products, and other needs
- Source suppliers and products based on business requirements
- Maintain accurate vendor pricing and purchasing information
- Assist with vendor negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms
- Coordinate scheduling and help ensure products are received on time
- Partner with customer service and sales teams to support customer needs
- Assist with additional purchasing projects and responsibilities as needed
- At least 1 year of purchasing or related experience
- Distribution or logistics industry experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Epicor ERP experience is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well within a team
