Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic Proposal Writer to join our client's team. The Proposal Writer will support the Business Development Team in proposal and document development/management. Writing and editing proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI). Support Executive, Quality, Training, Human Resources, and Program Management departments’documents for edit, format, review and functionality.
Responsibilities:
•Seek and track proposal/bid opportunities using beta.Sam, GovWin, Seaport-e, GSA, and other related RFP online tools
•Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, study requests for proposals, and participate in strategy meetings
•Assess RFP/RFI requirements and perform gap analysis, compliance, and scheduling
•Develop proposal IAW RFP by assembling information including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation
•Write, revise, and edit drafts including executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials in a clear concise manner maintaining continuity of style and content
•Perform technical writing and editing content in the areas of business, logistics support, supply, and maintenance per DoD directives and SOPs
•Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
•Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for each step and procedure in the proposal process
•Organize and maintain electronic and paper copy bid files
•Provide administrative support as necessary to the Executive Team, Program Managers, Administration, and Business Development departments
•Coordinate SharePoint efforts in support of ISO 9001 QMS Document Control program
•Attend site visits and industry days as necessary
•Supports QMS, Safety, Environmental, and Security Programs, and other Company certifications and initiatives
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•3-5 years’proposal management experience including deliverables, schedules, outlining, compliance matrices, and technical writing
•DOD RFP and proposal development
•Microsoft Office Suite
•Organizational skills
•Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communicative skills to effectively present complex information to target audiences via both oral and written communication
•Communicate effectively using multi-media platforms
•Proficiency in data mining, searches, and website management
•Able to work independently or with a team
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Excellent interpersonal skills
Education
•Bachelor's degree in related field
