Our client located in Lee's Summit, MO is looking for a Property Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of residential properties across Missouri and Kansas. As the main point of contact for your sites, you’ll be responsible for both the financial and physical health of each property, partnering closely with on-site managers to drive results. You'll join a tight-knit, family-oriented team that values hard work, mutual support, and hands-on leadership. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the performance of appx. 10 properties, including regular travel for site visits

  • Serve as the main point of contact for property managers—guiding operations, maintenance, and compliance

  • Monitor and optimize property financials: rent collection, occupancy, cost control, and budgets

  • Approve purchase orders, review vendor contracts, and coordinate with accounting on bill payments

  • Conduct quarterly property inspections and ensure readiness for investor, agency, and internal audits

  • Review and approve rent increases, HAP requests, and utility allowance worksheets

  • Provide training, support, and accountability for on-site property managers and maintenance staff

  • Lead or support special projects like capital improvements, insurance claims, and resident meetings
Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in management or related fields

  • Strong financial acumen;able to manage budgets, analyze performance, and support reporting

  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Comfortable navigating both administrative work and field-based property visits

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and collaborate with onsite personnel

  • Ability to travel regularly to sites across KS and MO (some overnight travel required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred

  • Experience in affordable housing or regulated environments is a plus
