Procurement Specialist

What You Will Do
- Lead purchasing activities from the early planning stage all the way through final award. This includes quotes, bids, RFPs, and contract steps.
- Review and compare responses, negotiate pricing and service terms, and work with internal partners to make sure everything aligns with policy and business needs.
- Support the management of supplier contracts, including renewals, updates, scope reviews, and pricing checks.
- Approve purchase orders and requisitions with a careful eye for accuracy and clarity.
- Help departments understand procurement best practices and ensure consistency across the full process.
- Work in a setting that values collaboration, service, and strong partnerships with both internal teams and suppliers.
What You Bring
- Bachelor or Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related area.
- Background in procurement, purchasing, or sourcing. Public sector experience is helpful but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain processes in a way that builds trust.
- A steady approach in fast-paced situations and a natural interest in improving how things get done.
