Our Morgan Hunter Client is a dynamic and innovative company committed to excellence in all day-to-day activities. They are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Overview: As the Payroll Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processes. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of payroll regulations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams hopefully with a strong union payroll background.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Payroll Processing:
    • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll accurately and on time.
    • Verify timekeeping records for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.

  2. Compliance:
    • Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
    • Ensure all payroll processes adhere to legal requirements.

  3. Recordkeeping:
    • Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.
    • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.

  4. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
    • Address payroll-related inquiries and concerns from employees.

  5. Problem Resolution:
    • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent future payroll errors.

  6. Reporting:
    • Generate and analyze payroll reports for management review.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably using advanced payroll systems.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
