Job Description

Morgan Hunter is working with a local client in the communications industry to identify talent for a Network Engineer. They are looking for someone who can configure, support, troubleshoot and maintain network infrastructure and related technologies including VoIP for our growing base of customers. The Network Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring and assessing the functionality of our customer’ s routers, firewalls and switches ensuring maximum uptime for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot wireless and wired connection issues
Manage and troubleshoot switching, routing, firewall, and wireless network equipment
Configure VLAN, SSID, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, SDWAN and other network protocols/services
Rollout firmware and software updates on switching, routing, firewall, and wireless network equipment
Interpret and address alerts and incident alarms generated by the Network Management Systems.
Troubleshoot VoIP issues
Create documentation for future reference
Provide timely updates and feedback to clients and partners regarding efforts to resolve complex issues
Manage multiple tasks and issues at the same time and maintain service level agreements
Ability to handle after hours maintenance activities when deemed necessary.
Participate in On-Call hours per the rotating schedule
All other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience in IP & VoIP networking and data communications with an understanding and experience dealing with multiservice IP networks, multi-vendor equipment and network protocols.
Preferred Network+ and/or Security+ or an equivalent level of technical certification
Preferred Fortinet NSE4 Certification
Strong troubleshooting ability with network equipment
Solid foundation in operational theory of modern network protocols and equipment
Experience with Fortigate Firewalls, Adtran routers and Ubiquiti EdgeMax and Unifi products
