Morgan Hunter is partnering with a highly respected Kansas City law firm to add an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to its team. This role is ideal for a polished, detail-oriented legal professional who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate attorney needs, and provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys within a busy business practice

  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel schedules, and day-to-day priorities

  • Open new matters and maintain organized and accurate legal files

  • Prepare, edit, proofread, and format correspondence and documents

  • Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion

  • Anticipate attorney needs and proactively resolve administrative issues

  • Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and internal teams

  • Handle multiple deadlines and priorities with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Legal Administrative Assistant experience within a law firm

  • Corporate, transactional, private equity, or mergers & acquisitions experience strongly preferred

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Word

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong proofreading, organization, and attention to detail

  • Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative

  • Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced professional environment

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
