Job Description

We’re partnering with a professional services company based in Kansas City, MO, to find an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their in-office team. This is a direct hire opportunity offering the chance to lead all aspects of HR for a growing organization with a collaborative and down-to-earth culture. Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership across all areas of HR, aligning with business goals and cultural values
  • Serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, guiding key decisions and coaching managers on HR best practices
  • Lead employee relations efforts, investigations, and performance management processes
  • Design and implement compensation structures and partner with finance on payroll operations
  • Collaborate with insurance brokers to manage benefit programs
  • Develop policies and processes that support organizational change and compliance
  • Leverage data to drive decisions, build reports in Excel, and present key insights to leadership
  • Manage and mentor a small HR team, building a high-performing function
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required;HR certification strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of broad HR experience, including employee relations, compliance, and total rewards
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to operate independently and balance priorities
  • Proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems
  • Experience leading change initiatives and streamlining HR processes
  • Confident, approachable, and collaborative with a proactive and resilient mindset
  • Prior experience in a professional services or insurance-related environment is a plus
