Job Description
As an HR Generalist with this company, you will work in a niche industry for a company located in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. You will work with a small HR team and support the HR Director by handling compliance, workers compensation, OSHA, EEOC, and HRIS reporting. This role is hybrid with one day a week remote.
You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and recommending best practices to the HR Director.
- Handle employee relations issues including coaching/counseling of managers, resolving disputes, reviewing terminations.
- Manage OSHA, workers compensation, FMLA and work with appropriate carriers.
- Generating reports via Paylocity to assist with data-driven decision-making.
- Post jobs to appropriate sites and manage onboarding paperwork.
- Support the HR Director and Payroll/Benefits with special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years' experience as a Generalist. Prior experience within the hospitality industry is helpful. Ability to juggle multiple projects in a "start-up" atmosphere is required.
- HR Certification is preferred.
- Experience with Paylocity would be helpful along with proven skills using excel and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Interaction with all levels in the company is required.
