HR Operations Project Manager
Kansas City, MO | Hybrid Schedule | Contract Role

Our client is searching for a contract Project Manager to support key HR initiatives across HR operations and systems. Based in Kansas City with a flexible hybrid schedule, this role will lead cross-functional project work, from planning and tracking to communication and rollout.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and task tracking across multiple workstreams

  • Schedule, lead, and document project team meetings, stakeholder updates, and rollout communications

  • Gather input from end users and manage feedback through logs and enhancement tracking

  • Coordinate implementation efforts, including demos and user engagement sessions

  • Develop clear, targeted presentations and materials tailored to various internal audiences

  • Work closely with leadership to connect the dots across people, process, and system needs



Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects independently

  • Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills with the ability to craft clear, audience-specific messaging

  • Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A self-starter who is both detail-oriented and capable of big-picture thinking

  • Experience working in HR, HRIS, or technical environments is a plus

  • Availability to be on-site in Kansas City for key meetings and working sessions
