Job Description


This position is responsible for all daily human resources duties including Administration, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Benefits. In addition, this position is also responsible for creating and implementing efficient processes to efficiently meet company, state, and federal requirements while mitigating company risk.



Responsibilities:
  • HR Administrative Work: Handling various administrative tasks related to HR, such as managing new hire paperwork, benefits maintenance, progressive discipline, employment verifications, and termination paperwork.
  • Turnover Tracking and Reporting: Managing plans and processes for tracking turnover and other operational statistical reporting as needed.
  • Employee Relations: Providing guidance and feedback to field employees on employee relations issues and ensuring timely follow-up on progressive discipline matters.
  • HR Training: Facilitating and implementing HR-related training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge as directed.
  • Employee Handbook: Maintaining the employee handbook and conducting yearly updates as necessary.
  • Worker's Compensation: Managing the process for handling worker's compensation incidents, including directing employees to appropriate facilities and completing necessary documentation.
  • Communication of Policies and Benefits: Explaining company policies, benefits, and procedures to employees.
  • Unemployment Claims: Responding to unemployment claims to limit company exposure and maintaining accurate records.
  • Benefits Open Enrollment: Managing the annual benefits open enrollment process and completing any required governmental reporting.
  • Personnel Recordkeeping: Maintaining employee files in accordance with proper personnel recordkeeping protocols.
  • Supporting Corporate Initiatives: Acting as support for corporate initiatives as directed by the leadership team.
  • Timely Completion of Responsibilities: Demonstrating the ability to plan for, complete, and implement assignments and responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration and Influence: Demonstrating approachability, collaboration skills, and the ability to effectively influence others.
  • Positive Relationships: Developing and maintaining positive relationships with all employees to facilitate open dialogue and trust.
  • Knowledge of HR Laws: Maintaining current knowledge of various HR laws, practices, procedures, and trends as directed.
  • Other Duties: Performing other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Required Knowledge: Thorough understanding of employment laws and best practices.
  • Experience Required: Five years of related experience.
  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with all employees.
    • Organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to make independent decisions.
    • High level of trust and diplomacy required due to sensitive interactions.
