Our client, an established organization in the Kansas City area, is seeking an HR Generalist to join their Human Resources team. This role will support a variety of day-to-day HR functions with a strong focus on payroll, benefits, and HR administration.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. This position will interact with employees and managers across the organization and will handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, HRIS updates, and personnel changes
- Payroll and benefits administration, including employee questions and issue resolution
- Support benefit-related reporting, audits, and annual processes
- Assist with workers’compensation, leave, and employee-related claims as needed
- Provide guidance to employees and managers regarding HR policies and procedures
- Support performance management and other employee programs
- Assist with HR reporting, compliance, and data management
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records
- Support additional HR projects and initiatives as needed
- 5+ years of HR experience
- Experience with payroll and benefits administration
- Strong Excel and data management skills
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality
