Director of Sales

Our established partner is looking for a Director of Sales to cover their Milwaukee, WI market. The Director of Sales will be responsible for the growth and management of the wholesale business in the assigned territory. Oversight of the department includes leading the sales team, equipment technicians, and customer service. Collaborative oversight includes logistics/fulfillment support, training, and events. Overall, the Director of Sales will report into the Vice President of Sales and will be integral in creating initiatives that drive the growth of the business and create partnerships with wholesale customers that are impactful and enduring. Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Create and communicate team and individual sales goals and provide quarterly progress towards goals.
  • Develop a weekly/monthly scorecard that lays the foundation to build a robust customer pipeline for business.
  • Effectively communicate financial outlooks and future planning through presentations and in team meetings.
  • Hold weekly meetings with direct reports to build culture, education, and accountability.
  • Nurture, support and develop each direct report with individual development and growth plans.
  • Build collaborative relationships with marketing teams to provide support for initiatives and bringing products/services to life in market.
  • Work with the production and customer service teams to support current systems and procedures (ordering, fulfillment, account management and communication).
  • Manage pipeline of all sales leads and update in real time (NetSuite CRM platform) using this data to create projections for the production team and leadership team.
  • Work with the accounting department and finance leadership to make sure accounts stay within payment terms and payment plans are executed.
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge of industry and competition.
  • Develop a sales structure for events programming. Using our internal and external sales initiatives to drive engagement with our community.
  • Learn, plan and execute training and onboarding programs for all new wholesale accounts.
  • Proactively conduct yearly planning meetings to identify monthly & quarterly growth initiatives that drive to the yearly sales target.
  • Be an ambassador in the community and represent our interests at appropriate networking events, conferences, collaborations, community events, and other engagements.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and help create a culture of optimism with all.
  • High level of understanding about organization as a whole (The brands, markets, products and services offered)

Skillset/Requirements:
  • Passion for the industry and the customers we serve.
  • 5-10+ years of sales and sales management experience with progressive accomplishments.
  • Track record of successful sales results and able to verify historical performance.
  • High-level experience in tracking work through CRM or other pipeline tools.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office specifically Excel & PowerPoint
  • Analytical skills evaluate and manage sales and product data
  • Quick adoption of other technologies that reinforce efficient time allocation, reporting, presentations, communication, and project management.
  • Must display a solid business acumen –rely on sound analysis and detailed understanding on the business
  • Ability to communicate with executive level partnerships and drive new relationships
