DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS



Summary

The Director of Operations will be responsible for executing and maintaining key functions of the organization’ s technology operations. This position is a valued member of the leadership team and will oversee the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations. This includes the planning, development, implementation, management and maintenance of all applications, infrastructure, security, networks, technology training and communications, as well as comprehensive support for the teaching and learning activities of the staff.



Supervisory Responsibilities

This position will manage the Help Desk Support Manager, Implementation Manager and Infrastructure Manager.



Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team, including infrastructure, help desk, and field personnel to provide modern, realistic, and feasible technical solutions for customers.
  • Implement technology initiatives that enable the organization to compete more. Vigorously and more profitably in a constantly changing and demanding marketplace.
  • Oversee the service delivery to the client base including customer service and quality control.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success to identify customer experience and focus on retention.
  • Partner and collaborate with other department leaders to identify needs and possible process improvements, communicate with staff and students regarding maintenance of technology, etc. For the purpose of implementing and maintaining district technology plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure key business strategies and processes are supported by systems that enable growth and flexibility.
  • Participate actively within the Senior Leadership Team to ensure operations address the needs of the business; actively manage cost efficiencies on a regular basis.
  • Provide thoughtful and knowledgeable questioning and analysis. Work with the team to determine customer needs; prioritize and determine appropriate solutions to satisfy them.
  • Partner with the leadership team and other management on large scale projects and to monitor and evaluate employee performance.

Education and Experience
  • 5+ years of professional work experience in a Senior leadership role.
  • Bachelor’ s degree in a technology related area, Business Administration, or other related fields of study with some background in IT.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, conflict management and resolution skills.
  • Experience in a fast paced and rapidly growing organization.
  • Background in strategic planning, budgeting, and personnel management.
  • Knowledge and involvement in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Demonstrated success in interacting with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders on varying levels.
