Full Job Description
A private equity-backed consumer goods company headquartered in South Johnson County seeks a Controller! This individual will lead the charge on all things related to accounting, audit, tax and payroll.

Duties:
  • Support executive and functional leadership with strategic and financial decisions
  • Lead and consolidate full-cycle accounting for three legal entities
  • Prepare quarterly financial slides for Board of Directors meetings; present financial results at meetings
  • Determine funding needs and timing; liaise with private equity partners to provide financial reporting and ad-hoc requests
  • Generate monthly reporting package to share with leadership team and investors
  • Support preparation of annual tax returns for 3 entities, liaising with external tax preparers to explore potential tax credits
  • Manage annual financial audit process with external audit firm; lead compliance-related audit for industry certification
  • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and reconciliations
  • Execute payroll and administer benefits programs

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience; CPA preferred
  • Experience in a private equity-backed consumer goods business is a huge plus, at the very least experience in at least one small, growing company
  • Experience scaling a high growth business and creating/improving processes and procedures as needed
  • Extensive accounting experience at all functional levels
  • Ability to take ownership - identify and execute what needs to be done with minimal oversight

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120, 000.00 - $140, 000.00 per year
