Morgan Hunter is partnering with a growing, employee-focused organization to add a Contract Benefits Specialist to its HR team. This long-term contract opportunity will provide coverage during a leave of absence while supporting benefits administration for a nationwide employee population offering a hybrid and flexible work schedule.
This role is ideal for an experienced benefits professional who enjoys working independently, managing employee inquiries, and ensuring benefits and leave programs run smoothly. You'll join a collaborative HR team and play a key role during annual open enrollment.
Responsibilities
Administer employee benefit programs and serve as a primary resource for benefits-related questions
Coordinate leave administration, including tracking leave activity and partnering with payroll on employee updates
Support annual open enrollment by assisting employees with benefit elections and answering plan questions
Maintain employee records and benefits information within HR systems
Process employee benefit changes and ensure accurate documentation
Monitor compliance with federal and state leave regulations
Partner with HR and payroll teams to support day-to-day benefits operations
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information
Qualifications
3+ years of benefits administration experience
Experience administering benefits for a multi-state workforce
Knowledge of federal and state leave programs, including FMLA and state leave requirements
Experience with ADP preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Experience supporting open enrollment activities preferred
