Bachelor’ s degree or equivalent work experience in related field

Primary functions and duties include:
  1. Agency contacts and touch points – interactions would be with existing agency partners as well as prospective agencies.
  2. Policyholder contacts and touch points – the interactions with policyholders will outnumber the interactions with agencies. This will also be a combination of in-person meetings as well as phone calls. Ideally contact would be made at policy inception and near expiration and would be based on account size. Additionally, policyholder outreach would include coordinating and attending agency/policyholder meetings, educating policyholders on services and promotion of programs.
  3. Develop content – assist in finding and creating content for LinkedIn page and publications.
  4. Agency and Policyholder Recognition – assist safety, claims, underwriting and policy services with recognizing individuals at agencies or policyholders for their accomplishments in risk management, safety and for supporting the growth of the organization.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, prioritize daily/weekly/monthly responsibilities, and enjoy working on multiple projects and tasks.

Outside of building and maintain successful relationships the business Developer will also assist with developing marketing materials, creating content for publications and social media as well as promoting client services.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to vocalize ideas and questions in addition to being an active listener. Must also have the ability to adapt and adjust based on the person or audience speaking/working with

Ability to set goals, develop action plans and manage time accordingly to meet goal deadlines

Understand the value of customer retention through exceptional customer service

Ability to travel periodically (1-2 night stays approximately 5-10 times per year)
