Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Benefits Administrator to join a collaborative team. As a Benefits Administrator, you will be responsible for the implementation, communication, and administration of retirement benefit plans for employee-owners and retired employee-owners. Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with benefit laws, regulations, and plan documents while providing excellent support to employee-owners regarding benefits inquiries. This position is located in Kansas City, MO and will be working on-site.



Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the administration of retirement benefit programs, including the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) and 401(k) plan.
  • Provide confidential assistance to employees, retirees, and beneficiaries regarding benefits issues, ensuring timely and courteous resolution.
  • Conduct employee-owner benefit orientations and education presentations to enhance understanding of benefit programs.
  • Perform tasks related to the completion of the annual benefit plan audit.
  • Conduct periodic quality checks and audits of benefits and payroll-related data.
  • Generate effective communication materials and provide counseling to employees as needed.
  • Prepare and distribute benefit notices and correspondence to employee-owners, retirees, and beneficiaries.
  • Foster relationships between the Human Resources Department, employee-owners, and other corporate services departments to ensure the success of our benefit plans.
  • Compile and present ad hoc reports for internal purposes as requested.



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in the analysis, design, and/or administration of benefit programs.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and data manipulation.
  • Proficiency in using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), particularly in analytics and reporting
  • Excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
