Job Description
We have a hybrid Accounting/Settlements Associate opportunity for a person possessing at least 2 years’ clerical accounting + customer service experience! Essential Functions:
- Prepares ticket records, purchase and sale advances and settlements; collects and validates documentation
- Analyzes contracts
- Reconciles daily inventory between physical location records and accounting software
- Prepares and processes payment batches (checks, PMX, ACH, wire) daily
- Monitors unpaid tickets and deferred payment settlements
- Maintains all records associated with the execution function
- Interacts with customers to expedite the payment and cash receipt process, and with government entities (USDA, FDA, FGIS)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma: 2 years of college with some accounting coursework preferred
- Two years of clerical accounting experience; agricultural industry experience is a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office; Advanced Excel skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Excellent analytical, documentation and organizational ability
- Independent worker, able to solve problems and propose solutions
