Job Description
We are currently partnering with a local company to find a Construction Contract Specialist to join their growing organization! This person will work on the legal team to analyze, revise, and negotiate contracts. This individual will work with all types of construction contract documents (bids, purchase orders, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, etc) to assist with minimizing the overall risk for the company.
Responsibilities:
- Work with contract terms to ensure the company policy, laws and regulations and desired risk profile is within context of the company and construction industry by identifying, analyzing, and summarizing contract terms.
- Assisting with generating alternative language and negotiating with opposing parties to address contractual concerns to specific risk items.
- Communicate with internal and external customers regarding proposed revisions in order to negotiate favorable contract terms and conditions.
- Present in-person and virtual training sessions for the company branches nationwide on issues of contractual risk, risk mitigation, contract review, and other relevant legal topics.
Required for the Role:
- Prior experience reviewing contracts and or negotiating contracts
- Deadline drive, detail-oriented, critical thinker, multi-tasker
- Team player, collaborative, adaptable, fast-pace
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience in the construction industry would be a huge plus!
