The primary focus of the Product Manager is to develop innovative new products for a variety of technical/mechanical industries while increasing the profitability of existing products. You will develop new products from existing ideas and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and contact with customers and prospects. The ideal candidate must possess a unique blend of business and technical savviness, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to identify and understand specific industry challenges and develop innovative solutions for these problems with a quantifiable return on investment.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to development and launch
  • Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research, competitive analysis and validation supported by ongoing visits to customers, prospects and partners
  • Create compelling business cases for new products which offer significant revenue potential that is measurable and achievable
  • Articulate the product positioning, key selling points and define the pricing strategy for the product line
  • Drive requirements and feature definitions for assigned products across development teams, serving as the voice of the customer to ensure product integrity and market success
  • Analyze potential partner and distribution channels for the product
  • Develop and implement a go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America (10-20%)

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of product management, operations or technical experience with technology-related products
  • Knowledgeable in technology with a strong technical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of general mechanical principles and applications
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written communication skills
