Marketing Manager

Morgan Hunter has recently partnered with an existing client for a Marketing Manager role. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for projects assigned to support the company’ s business-to-business and consumer marketing objectives and strategies. The Marketing Manager will lead and assist in the development, implementation and support of marketing & sales tactics that include new and existing products, programs and promotions. Such duties will include:
  • Ability to assess the marketplace for given product/program/brand
  • Assess the state-of-the business through sales data, competitive assessment and market research
  • Collaborate with team to develop sales and marketing plans to ensure product/program/brand is relevant to the client
  • Will act as project manager of assigned projects
  • Responsible for writing creative briefs and lead the vendor agency through concept development, production of marketing assets
  • Provide copy platform for all given projects that align with brand voice, imagery and character
  • Execute marketing/communication plan for company and value added brands
  • Maintain brand character, voice and imagery for each product/program/brand
  • Seek unique ways to create news for the product/program/brands offered
  • Maintain and administer web site; provide help in developing additional product/program functionality
  • Ability to keep content fresh and current
  • Develop sales presentation templates – create and update key slides with product, program and company news
  • Develop all customer and prospect communications – including lead generation programs and emails
  • Manage all aspects of developing and updating on and offline sales collateral, including development of case studies
  • Collect and compile industry and competitive reports, new items, program innovations, etc. Report findings and recommendations to team

Prior Experience Required:

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
  • 5-7+ years of similar or related work experiences. Prior food manufacturing/processing industry experience is a plus
  • Strong experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite Design programs.
  • General marketing background in trade marketing and/or consumer marketing.
  • Strong project management capabilities and capable to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to drive tactical action from business objectives and strategies
  • Strong understanding of how company marketing supports sales function
  • Understanding of various customer segments and sales channels with knowledge of the protein/beef industry a plus
  • Must have excellent communication and strong organizational skills
  • Marketplace strategist, able to analyze competition, positioning, and define opportunities
  • Able to look at the marketing mix and discern how to optimize and/or change for program execution
  • Knowledge and experience in business-to-business marketing and selling strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of consumer communications with emphasis of in-store and account specific marketing tactics
  • Has experience developing and implementing digital and social media strategies into the marketing mix of brand/program plans
  • Skilled at working with agency partners communicating the brand/program vision and providing oversight to develop marketing programming
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required and ability to effectively work in a team setting
  • Possess solid self-management skills and self-motivated
