Job Description

Our client is based in the Kansas City metropolitan area and is experiencing rapid growth due to a niche they fill within the technology field. As Compensation Director, this individual will lead a team and bring experience in the areas of job architecture, benchmarking, executive compensation, compensation cycles, and sales commissions. This role is 100% in office and relocation assistance will be provided as needed.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Proven experience growing and developing a compensation plan for an organization of 1500+ employees.
  • Creation of a compensation philosophy that will expand as the organization achieves milestones of growth over the next few years.
  • Experience with blended benchmarking and salary studies in situations where an industry standard may not exist.
  • Strong understanding of Job Architecture and the ability to develop a broad approach to salary leveling.
  • Experience with annual cycles, executive compensation, and sales commissions.
  • Previous experience developing Best Practices for compensation.
  • Maintain a consultative approach as a thought partner in interactions with company Leaders.
  • Have prior experience with Workday, Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP/Success Factors HRM systems.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field. Equivalent professional experience considered in absence of a degree.
  • 5-10 years' experience in corporate compensation design and strategy development for a multi-site organization.
  • 5+ years' leadership experience.
  • CCP designation is desirable but not required.
  • Expert proficiency with MS Excel tools.
