CFO

Morgan Hunter is currently looking for a CFO for a manufacturing company in St. Joseph, MO (Northland Area)! Due to projected growth, the CFO position has become available to help the CEO with increased workload. The CFO directs and manages the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The CFO will be responsible for putting accounting processes in place, making sure cash transactions are being posted correctly, and that the company is utilizing their current accounting software efficiently. The CFO will oversee the accountants. The ideal CFO will have 10+ years of previous accounting experience, be proficient with Excel, and have a strong understanding of costing and systems. The ideal CFO should have 10+ years general accounting experience, have a bachelor’ s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’ s degree preferred), and have 2+ years in a supervisory role. Job Requirements
Duties Include:

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the organization

  • Responsible for putting accounting processes in place

  • Review cash disbursement transactions monthly to determine appropriate allocations to general ledger account and distribution to various budget categories

  • Ensure the company is utilizing their current accounting software efficiently

  • Oversee accountants (Clerks and Payroll)

  • Have 10+ years of previous accounting experience

  • Proficient with Excel, and have a strong understanding of ERP Systems

  • Prepare journal entries

  • Analyze detailed accounts as required

  • Prepare monthly financial statement and ensure accuracy

  • Assist auditors in the completion of the annual audit

  • Prepare quarterly financial indicators as selected

  • Prepare cash flow analyses and budget variance analyses on a monthly basis



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance

  • 10+ years of Accounting experience

  • 2+ years in a supervisory role



LICENSING REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA desirable



OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; Capable of working with personnel at all management levels

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to quickly and accurately analyze key financial data and assess its impact on the organization

  • Budgetary/Financial reporting

  • Must be able to take the initiative on a wide variety of projects essential to growing the business
